On May 1, 2026, Robin Beattie of Beattie, Westmont & Simpson, LLC moderated the 2026 Appellate Practice Update for the Appellate Subsection of the Colorado Bar Association. The Appellate Practice Update featured lectures from numerous judges and appellate practitioners and discussed important appellate issues, such as how appeals are managed by the courts, standards of review, preservation of issues, brief writing, and oral arguments.
