Courtney Baldwin is a senior associate attorney with Beattie, Westmont & Simpson, LLC. She has focused her legal career primarily on practicing family law, while also handling certain estate planning and probate matters.<\/p>

Ms. Baldwin earned her J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law in May of 2017. Ms. Baldwin represents clients in a variety of domestic relations cases including complex divorce and legal separation proceedings, parental responsibility (child custody) actions, child support and spousal support establishment and modifications, post-decree parenting disputes, and common law marriage actions, to name a few. Ms. Baldwin also handles probate matters and assists clients in preparing wills and powers of attorney for estate planning.\u00a0<\/p>

Ms. Baldwin currently serves as an elected member on both the Board of Directors for the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Executive Council of the Denver Bar Association, YLD. Ms. Baldwin has been recognized as a Rising Star in the 2024-2025 publications of Super Lawyers and has received the Client\u2019s Choice Award from Avvo consecutively since 2018. Ms. Baldwin was given the distinction of Best Lawyer: Ones to Watch in Family Law by the Best Lawyers in America in 2025. Ms. Baldwin has written articles which were published in the November 2022 edition of the Colorado Lawyer and in the July 2024 edition of The Docket and she has also contributed as an author of the Family Relations section of the Colorado Senior Law Handbook, 2023 and 2024 editions.\u00a0<\/p>

Ms. Baldwin is a current member of the Publications Committee for The Docket, the official publication of the Denver Bar Association. She is also an active member of the 1st Judicial District\u2019s Continuing Legal Education (\u201cCLE\u201d) Planning Committee where she has helped organize various CLE presentations to educate other attorneys. Ms. Baldwin carries the highest \u201csuperb\u201d rating of 10\/10 by the online lawyer directory Avvo. Ms. Baldwin has presented lectures on several family law topics including how to gain parental rights as a psychological parent and how to admit evidence at trial, a presentation given during the annual Family Law Institute.\u00a0<\/p>

Ms. Baldwin is a strong advocate for her clients and is passionate about helping people navigate through what is often a stressful and overwhelming time in their lives. She realizes that every person is unique, and she makes sure to consider what is most important to each individual client in informing her legal approach. She spends time educating her clients about their options and determining which ones are most closely aligned with their goals. Ms. Baldwin strives to devise creative solutions to reach settlement agreements to allow her clients to avoid litigation when appropriate. Ms. Baldwin is also prepared to take cases to trial in order to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
Ms. Baldwin is originally from St. Louis and moved to Colorado in 2017.
